It's a new year and like many other people, I have made myself some resolutions. It's common to make goals at the start of a new year, however, it is not common to actually complete them. We make up many excuses, I was busy with work or I was planning to do it later but before we know it 2018 will be here and the cycle will repeat itself.

The point of resolutions is to try and complete something you care about and that you want to get done. It is not supposed to be seen as something you are dreading. So when you are making your goals this year make sure they are things you are passionate about or want to prioritize. If you care about a goal then it won't feel like such a burden to complete them. Here are my resolutions...

1. Start a bullet journal

2. Post more on my blog (sorry I have been MIA)

3. Exercise more

4. Spend more time outdoors

5. Take better care of my skin

6. Sleep more

All of these resolutions are important to me. I want to start a bullet journal so I can express more of my creativity than simply writing a list in a planner. My blog sadly has been something that has been continually getting pushed off because of my homework and well life in general. I really want to make this a priority because I love to post and share my ideas with you guys. Exercise is on pretty much everyone's list because we all want to live healthier lives. Personally, I need to exercise more because I have a back injury that requires a little more extra attention than I am currently giving it. I also want to go outside more because I often spent my weekend inside doing homework or watching Netflix. It is really important to spend time outside and take a few hours to detox from your electronics. For my skin, I have struggled with acne since I started high school and this year I have finally started paying more attention to it instead of just putting makeup over it. Part of this is trying to eat healthier and drinking more water which I am trying to focus on. Lastly, I want to sleep more because lately I haven't been getting a lot of sleep and I have noticed it really effects my mood. I also want to feel more energized after school instead of always taking naps and being tired in class. I really want to prioritize these resolutions because I am passionate about them. This is how you should feel about your resolutions so, take care in choosing them, and make sure that these goals are what you want to spend a year working towards.
